This audio features a "Scripture Reading in Rap" which was a part of the Friday morning worship service at the 2009 Academy of Homiletics in Washington, D.C.  The preacher for the day, Karyn L. Wiseman, chose for her text Micah 6:1-8.  The liturgist for the day, Andre Resner, organized a prophetic rap of Micah 1 with Karim Currey and Edwin Ferguson, M.Div. students at Hood Theological Seminary where Wiseman and Resner are faculty colleagues.  Resner, Currey and Ferguson have been experimenting with using rap and stomp in conjunction with preaching and the oral interpretation of scripture throughout the 2009-2010 academic year.
