Dare We Dream a Preaching Renaissance!

In the difficulty of these days, some have lost belief in the power of the preaching of the gospel. Those who have confidence are often uncertain as to how and what to preach to a divided, perplexed, and confused church and nation, given the reality of systemic oppression, polarization, digital church, and the Covid-19 pandemic. In the history, depth, power, creativity, beauty, and imagination of the African American preaching tradition are untold resources that can assist the homiletical community to lead a preaching renaissance to revive Christianity in the 21st century.
