About Us

The Academy of Homiletics is the academic guild for those who teach, research, and practice the art and skills of preaching.  Homiletics, the study preparing, composing, and delivering sermons, involves scripture, theology, context, and rhetoric for the purposes of public proclamation. Founded in 1965, the Academy of Homiletics now has a membership of over 200, spanning every corner of the globe.  Membership in the Academy of Homiletics is open to teachers and doctoral graduate students of homiletics.
