The Academy of Homiletics was founded in 1965, and now has a membership of nearly 400. Although we are of North American origin, our membership spans the world. Membership in the Academy of Homiletics is open to teachers and doctoral graduate students of homiletics. Academy of Homiletics Lifetime Achievement Award

Since 2001, the Academy of Homiletics has presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to deserving individuals. Past recipients are:
